Odyssey of a G: Bio

Odyssey of a G (also known as OdysseyG or RobG) is an electronic musician, artist/composer.  Having a passion for music, creative and recording processes the odyssey project was conceived in the winter of 2002. 

Beginning in early 2003 and continuing through the end of 2008; research, acquirements, integration, and study was performed on aspects of electronic music (studio equipment/music theory/mixing, etc) to produce an album. By 2009 recording began for the first album "Odyssey Element 7619-02", a collection of lounge electronica songs w/percussion instrumentation.  

The main influences behind OdysseyG are artists of the 80’s.  Those include Neil Tennant/Chris Lowe, Marc Almond/David Ball, Florian Schneider/Ralf Hutter, Vince Clarke/Andy Bell, McClusky/Humphreys, Brian Eno, Harold Budd, Steve Roach.  Inspiration is derived from numerous outlets; technological advancements/theories on astronomy, nature, science fiction, and the droning of life.

Prior to 2002 OdysseyG spent his years playing tennis for Citrus College in Glendora California.  After obtaining an A.A. OdysseyG transferred to Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles where he graduated with a B.A. in business administration.
